Tareq Abboushi

A multi-instrumentalist and composer, he has spent over 25 years developing a sound that moves fluidly across genres, unencumbered by stylistic boundaries. With a background in jazz piano performance and a deeply rooted relationship with the buzuq, his music draws from Arabic maqam, jazz, funk, and electronic traditions. His playing and compositions have quietly shaped the direction of many projects he has led or been part of.
